Ufa Ranks First Among Metropolises In Shipping Volume Per Capita

Activity of Ufa industrial production in 2015 was characterized by positive dynamics. Industrial production index reached the level of 100.8 per cent versus the previous year. This was reported during a regular operational meeting in the municipality on March, 15 2016.

Industrial production growth was provided by increase in mining by 2.1% and manufacturing industries by 0.9%. The growth of economic activity in 2015 was observed in the sectors of manufacturing, such as: clothing manufacture (137.5%), manufacture of leather goods and footwear (107.7%), manufacture of rubber and plastic products (102.9%), manufacture of machinery and equipment (103.0%), electrical equipment production (102.0%), manufacture of transport equipment (104.6%).

Oil production has set at the level of 97.2% versus the production in 2014, 99.6% - chemical production. Manufacture of food products is characterized by one of the minimum values ​​of the index among industrial enterprises (84.7%), due to reduced production volumes of dairy products, bakery products, soft drinks.

In the production and distribution of electricity, gas and water the index was 99.6% versus 2014, where the production of electricity increased by 2.5%, while the supply of thermal power decreased by 1.2%.

Ufa ranked second among million-plus cities in the total volume of products shipped based on the figures of 2015. The capital of Bashkortostan ranked first Ufa in shopping volume per capita.
