Folklore Song and Dance Ensemble “Miras” represents Bashkortostan and Russia at 52 International Folklore Festival of World Dance in Billingham (Great Britain). The ensemble members perform both on the main stage of the Festival arena and other areas. The British art fans and guests of the Festival from other countries are actively interested in the Russian and Bashkir cultures, traditions which are represented by Miras members at the Festival. Their performances are real sell-out. High performance level and qualification of Miras have already been appraised by the Festival organizing committee. 

 On 18 August there was World united by dance sculpture unveiling ceremony. Miras was honored to unveil the sculpture.

On this day Syntimir B. Bayazitov, Deputy Head of Ufa City Municipal District Administration, had a meeting with Ken Dixon, Mayor of Billingham. During the meeting the guests from Ufa demonstrated the process of making Kurai, national Bashkir instrument, and played it. Syntimir Baiazitov also told Ken Dixon about the social and economic growth of the capital of Bashkortostan, the world folkloriad which will be held in Ufa in 2020 and invited him to this event. The mayor of Billingham accepted the invitation and promised to visit Ufa.  

About Miras

Miraswas founded in 1992. The performers of the ensemble have represented Bashkortostan in Russia and abroad and become laureates of many festivals and competitions. The repertoire of the ensemble includes over 50 vocal and choreographic performances. These are dances and songs of the nations who live in our republic.   The repertoire of Miras is also inspired by the national character which reflects the whole beauty and wealth of Bashkortostan Republic.
